(Excuse the sun in the eyes look & my casper legs)
This man right here is my daddy. He is one of the strongest and most amazing man I know. He is my protector, my rock and my friend. He will give you the shirt of his back and will help anybody out anyway he can. We may not see eye to eye but I know if I truly need him he will always be there no matter the place or the time. My whole life he has always worked in construction and he is of of the best in the business. He has diabetes and lately they have gotten worse due to a infection in his foot. He had been on pick line antibiotics for 6 weeks to try and get rid of the infection. They did not work. We found out today that they are gonna operate tomorrow and take his foot off. If you know anybody that works in construction then you know they are always up on the feet and due to the infection my dad has not been able to work. Now ask yourself if you were 53 years old and had been doing construction work since high school and suddenly you couldn't do anything but sit on a couch, what would happen to you. Yep you got it! He is going stir crazy! He has never been one to sit around all day and not do nothing. He is stubborn (which is were I swear I get it from.. but sshh don't tell him that) & does not like to be told to take it easy and sit down. I'm not really sure why I am writing a post on this except for maybe it's a way for me to get my feelings out. You see I have a little sister who is about 2 years younger than me and alot closer to my dad than I am. They have an amazing relationship and this is hitting her really hard. I guess by putting how I feel on here then maybe it will help me stay strong for her and not break down in front of her. I know when they wheel my daddy back into surgery tomorrow is gonna take every ounce of strength I have not to loose it because I know when he comes out he will not look the same as when he went in. If you know anything about my family then you know these past couple of years has been hell on us. Between my dad having a triple bypass, both of my grandmothers dying in the same year, my sister getting cancer, beating it and then getting it again, and now this, it has been rough. But somebody told me something today that reminded me that the man upstairs is always in control. God WILL NOT give you more than you can handle. At the end of the day I am scared and nervous for my daddy but I know God is in control and will bring him through this.
Daddy, I love you more than words can ever explain. You have so many people here supporting you. I know you must be scared but always remember God is in control. You have 2 of the most amazing guardian angels in heaven watching over you and I know mawmaw and pawpaw know everything is gonna be okay. You are the greatest dad a girl could ever ask for and I know you will make it through this and be stronger in the end. You can do this. Like you always say "I have faith in you"
I love you!
Now I'm done rambling lol
